During his inaugural address, Donald Trump said he would sign an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.” Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton could be seen visibly reacting to that part of Trump’s speech. It is not clear if a U.S. president has the authority to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the area is considered international waters.
