Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a video that its platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, will no longer implement a fact-checking policy, instead relying on community notes similar to what X is doing. He says he also plans to get rid of restrictions on topics like immigration and gender. The news comes two weeks before Trump transitions into office. NBC’s Hallie Jackson reports for TODAY.
