As Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, prepares to make her VP selection, a top contender has dropped out. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper made the announcement while on a fundraising call for Harris on Monday. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has also said she asked not to be considered, either.
